GBRC Honeywagon Runs

The GBRC Honeywagon Runs, hosted by the Greater Bellingham Running Club, is an annual running event scheduled for March 23, 2024, in Everson, Washington. Two distances are offered: a half-marathon and a 4-mile course, serving runners at different fitness levels. Named after the manure wagons ('Honeywagons') that would spread cow manure on the local fields, the event is now in its 42nd year and offers a high point of community bonding and running camaraderie in the year's calendar.Routes are situated along beautiful, flat country roads, and though the courses remain open to local traffic, runners can enjoy a peaceful racing experience. The event has a strong community feel, kicking off and finishing at Nooksack Valley Middle School's parking lot. Supported by local sponsors, the event also includes a kid's fun run and offers a cash prize drawing for early registrants. Despite its humble beginnings, the GBRC Honeywagon Runs has grown into a staple on the Washington running circuit.
