Umstead Trail Marathon

The Umstead Trail Marathon is a challenging and picturesque trail running event set to take place in Raleigh, North Carolina, on March 2, 2024. With a course nestled within the sprawling, five-thousand-acre expanse of the William B. Umstead State Park, participants are promised an immersive adventure through dense woods, past tranquil lakes and streams, and over undulating hills. The race covers 42 kilometers, comprising both technical single-track and smooth gravel bridle trails. Participants will have access to well-stocked aid stations manned by enthusiastic volunteers during the race and can look forward to delightful food arrangements at the finish line. A technical t-shirt and a special pint glass finisher's award await every runner, with the top 15 male and female finishers scoring a unique handcrafted prize. The best part? All proceeds from the event will contribute to the upkeep of the Umstead State Park and support the initiatives of the Carolina and Godiva Track Club.
