The GFNY Maryland Cambridge is a thrilling cycling race taking place in Cambridge, Maryland on October 6, 2024. Renowned for being Maryland's most challenging and largest road race, it offers two courses: a daunting 92-mile course and a more approachable 48-mile option. The event, weaving through beautiful Cambridge, is much more than just a race - it's an experience that combines the thrill of competition with the natural beauty of Maryland.Cambridge is an authentic Chesapeake town with a rich maritime history. The course provides an opportunity for racers to drink in the stunning nature, quaint towns, and slower pace of life synonymous with the region. The course is notably flat, making it fast for athletes working in groups but also very beginner-friendly. Whether you are a competitive cyclist seeking the rush of a challenging race or a newcomer, the GFNY Maryland Cambridge is the ultimate cycling event.Cyclists will start the race in the heart of Cambridge’s downtown and venture through Dorchester County, enjoying views of the Chesapeake Bay coastline and the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge. Post-race activities include festivities, music, awards, and a hearty meal at the green space at Race Street & Cedar Street. The top 10% of finishers in each age group earn a spot in the Qualifier Corral at every GFNY World event. Regardless of finishing times, all racers receive a medal and a GFNY jersey as proof of their incredible achievement.
